Outreach Representative

Join in the summer fun and activity on MacMillan Pier, as a public outreach representative for CCS, helping to operate our retail kiosk opposite the CCS dock where our research and rescue vessels are located. You will interact with whale watch passengers, families with children of all ages, and visitors to Provincetown, selling merchandise and talking with them about CCS marine research and conservation work. If you are a people person who loves the ocean and would like to become more involved with the Center, this is a fun volunteer position for you!

SESP (Special Education Surrogate Parent)

When children who require special education services are in the care or custody of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or their parents are unknown or unavailable, they may be eligible for the appointment of a Special Education Surrogate Parent (SESP). SESPs represent a wide range of caring and committed individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in a child's life.SESPs represent the best interests of the students they are appointed to when decisions are being made regarding his/her/their special education. This volunteer role can be fulfilled remotely.

ACCE provides mentoring and scholarships for Cape Cod high school students to continue their education and succeed at Cape Cod Community College. Hospice Volunteer

There is no more meaningful way to touch a life than to serve as a hospice volunteer. Give a terminally ill patient – and their family – the greatest gift you can: caring, comfort, and relief when it's needed most. No previous experience or healthcare background required. We provide all of the training you need; hours and patient visits based on your availability.

Mentor

You don’t need super-powers to be someone’s hero…you just need to be you and be there! Young kids all over the Cape and Islands are looking for someone who can help them reach their potential. Only four to five hours per month will make a lasting impact in a child's life helping them thrive and succeed. Best part: you'll have fun doing it!

Volunteer Attorneys

WE CAN needs attorneys with all areas of expertise, especially those experienced in family, housing, employment, and civil law. Volunteer attorneys help to provide free, 30-minute one-to-one consultations designed to help Cape Cod women to know their rights.
