Future Fund Sparks Regional Investment in the Cape's Next Generation

August 1, 2025 — Just weeks after launching the Future Fund, seeded with over $40,000 in commitments from CCYP’s founding board members and early champions, the Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC) joined the effort with a $5,000 gift to support the final phase of CCYP’s year-long strategic planning process.

“The heart of our work is to help people living year-round on Cape Cod,” said HAC CEO Alisa Magnotta. “Young professionals are front and center—we need them to see a way to live here. CCYP gives voice to their challenges and organizes our community’s response. If we lose them, we lose the Cape.”

HAC's gift will help underwrite the final phase of CCYP’s strategy work, including this region-wide survey The survey will collect insights from members, partners, and community stakeholders, helping CCYP align its programs and priorities with the real needs, hopes, and lived experiences of working people on Cape Cod.

“I know I speak for the entire board when I express how much we appreciate the entire team at Housing Assistance,” said CCYP Executive Director Emily Wagner. “HAC's generous support isn’t just a boost—it’s a real show of trust that says, ‘We’re in this together.’ That kind of belief goes a long way.”

About the Future Fund
The Future Fund was launched on June 30 as a bold step forward in CCYP’s 20th year. It represents not just a financial commitment, but a community-powered belief in the value of young people, working families, and year-round residents as the future of Cape Cod. CCYP extends heartfelt thanks to the founding board members and early champions who ignited this effort and to the current CCYP Board of Directors, who are carrying the vision forward.
