Your Resume Is Talking... Is It Communicating Well?

Our October 2026 Common Grounds is all about resumes and how you talk about your professional self, and the conversation is hosted by CCYP Member Brandon Simmons from Cape Cod Community College.

Most of us were taught to write resumes by filling in the boxes: job title, dates, a few bullet points, done. But your resume, your LinkedIn, and even the way you answer "so, what do you do?" are all telling a story about you. Join Brandon for a practical, honest convo about turning your experience into a story that lands, owning your strengths without feeling like you're bragging, and showing up on paper the way you show up in the room. Whether you're job hunting, switching careers, building a business, or just haven't updated your resume since 2019, bring your questions (and your resume, if you're brave)!
