Carol Newman Cronin is an author and 2004 Olympian who learned to sail in Woods Hole. Was she named after Hurricane Carol? We're not sure—but in 2010, she turned her father’s stories about riding out that 1954 storm into her second novel, Cape Cod Surprise. She will also talk about her first competitive sailing in Cape Cod Knockabouts, which eventually led her to compete in the Olympics.

The program for “Beethoven: The Revolutionary” includes the great Leonore Overture No. 3, Violin Concerto featuring guest violinist Alexi Kenney, and a culminating performance of the epic Symphony No. 5.

These Old Ladies are motivated by their affection for the animals and plants that inhabit ponds.
